Where are you located?
My office is in Summerville, South Carolina, but I only offer services online. As long as you’re in New York (state) , Nevada or South Carolina, we can work together!
Why do you only offer online sessions?
What are your hours?
I’m off on Thursdays but have availability any other day:
Monday: 12 pm to 4 pm (Eastern Time)
Tuesday: 7 pm to 9 pm (Eastern Time)
Wednesday: 1 pm to 3 pm (Eastern Time)
Friday: 1 pm to 4 pm (Eastern Time)
Saturday: 8 am to 9 pm (Eastern Time)
Sunday: 8 pm to 10 pm (Eastern Time)
How long are your sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes.
How long have you been in practice?
How long do you see clients? Weeks? Months? Years?
It varies, but I see most people for 3-6 months (with some for as long as two years).
Several clients occasionally return for a check-in or tune-up – just to stay on track.
How do I set up an appointment?
To schedule an initial session, you can email me at [email protected] or call me at (845) 418-9222.
What is your cancellation policy?
What is a “Good Faith Estimate,” and how does it work?
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your sessions will cost and the length of support needed to achieve your goals.
Under the law, healthcare providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for services (a “Good Faith Estimate”).
What payment forms do you accept?
Payments can be made with Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay, or by check.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
Do you take insurance?
I take Cigna and Evernorth. If you have a different insurance company, I can provide you with a “Superbill” to submit to your carrier for possible reimbursement.
That said, I prefer to work without insurance because paying with insurance means that the insurance company will require a diagnosis and dictate the kind and length of treatment you receive.
Who do you work best with as clients?
What is the age range of your clients?
Do you work with men, women, or couples?
I primarily work with individual men and women, but I can work with couples on a case-by-case basis.
Do you have experience working with the LGBTQ+ community?
Do you have experience with polyamory in a therapeutic setting?
What modalities do you use?
I primarily use task-based and solution-focused theory, but we may do some Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy if needed.
I also put a great deal of emphasis on the connection between diet, sleep, physical activity, and overall well-being.
Are there assignments to do between sessions?
Depending on the client and their needs, there may be work to complete between sessions to bring to the next session.
There will always be areas to work on (whether you have “homework” or not) to get the most out of the services provided and become the best version of yourself.
What are your credentials and experience?
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York and a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice (LISW-CP) in South Carolina.
I’ve worked in private practice and residential settings to help those struggling to balance the demands of their career and the needs of their family. I help them find the sweet spot between responsibilities, passions, and well-being.
Will therapy make my depression and anxiety go away?
I can’t make promises that all symptomology will disappear.
But I will work tirelessly to help you manage your symptoms in the best way possible to give you relief.
The goal is to manage and adapt your lifestyle to give you the best possible chance of living well despite your differences.
How do you balance your work, family, dogs, and cats?
The same way everyone else does: one day at a time.
It’s not easy, but it’s a matter of rolling with the punches and trying to laugh along the way.
